Cardinal Newman Testimonials

A good education for students including their personal development & academic achievement. Ofsted 2013

GCSE Results 2019

73% of students achieved the 'basics' 9-4 in English and Maths, significantly above national average, with 41% achieving a strong pass in both Maths and English.

67% of students acheived 5 standard passes including Maths and English. Progress 8 is at 0.2, which means a fifth of all students' grades are better than they should be, and attainment 8 is 49.9.

Results across many subjects were striking, but impressively we have seen very strong outcomes in Mathematics, English and the Sciences and at a time when the popularity of Modern Foreign Languages is waning in many schools, our commitment to Language has been rewarded with a bumper crop of outcomes in French, German and other home languages.

Similarly, results in Computer Science, History, Geography and Media Studies were exceptional with students achieving more than half a grade higher than the national average.
