A good education for students including their personal development & academic achievement. Ofsted 2013

Prom

The Prom is an annual event that brings together staff and students to celebrate the end of your GCSE's at Cardinal Newman Catholic High School.

It is the perfect way to commemorate the last 5 years and relax after an intense study leave period.

Dress to impress and the most imaginative transport to dazzle the crowds upon your arrival is the priority.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE

The M1 is closed tonight Friday 29 June 2018 from Junction 11a through to Jn 14 so you will not be able to access Woburn from the M1 at Jn13.  The following is the easiest route:

  • From Luton, head to Harlington
  • Go down Westoning Road to the T junction with the A5120.
  • Turn right and then immediately sharp left after around 100yards
  • Follow the road for quite a distance until you get to the T junction and go left onto Eversholt Rd
  • Follow this road.  You will go over a cattle grid after a couple of miles into the deer park – drive carefully!
  • Drive through the deer park over the crest of a hill and there is a turning on the right hand side just before the road enters a wooded area.  It is signposted as an entrance…but it will be dark!  Turn in here and follow the road to the location of the Prom.  If you cross a second cattle grid from this direction you have gone too far!

IF YOU ARE LOST…FIND TONY WILDE CAMPING ON YOUR SAT NAV / PHONE.  THE ENTRANCE ROAD TO THE SITE OF THE PROM IS DIAGONALLY OPPOSITE (Postcode MK17 9PG, Park Street).

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE make sure you are at the location 15minutes before the end of the evening.  It is tricky to find and the mobile coverage is awful, so you will struggle to contact your child if you are delayed or late.  Last year 3 children were not collected by parents, I did look after them rather than leave them to find their own way home through the safari park, but it wasn’t the best end to the night as I’m sure you can imagine!

It is going to be a lovely evening.  I am ever so proud of our Year 11s and I look forward to seeing many of you when you drop off / pick up later this evening.
